Wccftech and leaker Enthusiastic Citizen claim they have the final specifications for AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series. This shows, among other things, that the Ryzen 9 7950X has an overclock of 5.7GHz. Ryzen 7000 processors are expected to appear in mid-September.
According to Wccftech And the enthusiastic citizen AMD comes first with four Ryzen 7000 models. The top model, the Ryzen 9 7950X, will once again have 16 cores and 32 threads, according to this broker. Additionally, the chip will have a clock speed of 4.5GHz, which the upcoming CPU will be 1.1GHz higher than the Ryzen 9 5950X by default. The AMD Ryzen 7 7700X, in turn, gets 8 cores and 16 threads with a clock speed of 5.4GHz and a TDP of 105W. There is no mention of a possible Ryzen 7 7800X. AMD’s lowest-ranking model to be released in September is the Ryzen 5 7600X. This CPU gets 6 cores and 12 threads at 4.7GHz with an overclock of 5.3GHz and a TDP of 105W.
All processors get 1MB L2 cache per core. That’s more than the previous generation: Ryzen 5000 chips have 0.5MB L2 cache per core. The amount of L3 cache for AMD’s Ryzen 7000 CPUs remains the same as that of its Ryzen 5000 predecessors, except for the Ryzen 7 5800X3D which has an additional stacked L3 cache. AMD is expected to introduce Ryzen 7000 models with 3D V-Cache at a later date.
Wccftech also claims that users may only be allowed to override Ryzen 7000 desktop processors, just like AMD’s Ryzen 7 5800X3D. This chip has a voltage limit that prevents users from overclocking the chip. Ryzen 7000 will also have a frequency limit of 5.85GHz, the tech website claims. This may be due to the increased boost hours compared to the previous generation, which leaves less room for overclocking.
