Shutter speed ranges from 1/32000 to 30 seconds. In manual mode, the shutter speed can be increased to 900 seconds. The ISO value ranges from 64 to 25,600, except for Hybrid Log Gamma, the minimum ISO value is 400. The Z8 has 493 single-point AF points.

For photographers who like to capture HDR images, the Z8 can also capture images in 10-bit high-efficiency image file format as well as raw and jpeg formats.
