Since the beginning of October, Microsoft’s Windows 11 operating system has once again supported most Intel Xeon CPUs that were previously removed from the operating system’s system requirements. This relates to 34 Xeon E-series CPUs.
The processors in question were no longer mentioned in the system requirements in August and are therefore no longer officially supported by Microsoft. now Notes Deskmoder That the CPUs are back on List of supported processors are included. Of the 44 missing Intel Xeon E variants, 34 have been restored to Microsoft’s roster. Ten Xeon E-23 variants are still not supported according to Microsoft documentation.
It was not clear why Microsoft initially removed Intel and Deskmodder suggests it may be a mistake. Users practically did not notice this, but during the functionality update, the operating system checks whether the system meets the system requirements, and it is currently unclear whether the missing Xeon processors are officially supported or not.
