Microsoft has released Defender for Individuals for family and personal subscriptions in Microsoft 365. This provides families with an overview of the security status of many computers, tablets, and smartphones.

Microsoft Defender for Individuals provides users with a dashboard where they can see if the different devices they use indoors are protected from online threats. This concerns not only Windows PCs, but also macOS devices, Android and iOS mobile devices.

The dashboard works in conjunction with third-party security groups, such as Norton and McAfee. The service can be used at no additional cost for Microsoft 365 Family and 365 Personal subscribers.

With a Microsoft 365 Personal subscription, up to five devices can be added to the Defender for Individuals dashboard. With Family View this amounts to thirty devices at the same time. Defender for Individuals cannot be purchased without a subscription. The service can be tried for 30 days.
