King Philip and Crown Princess Elizabeth received a visit from Barack Obama on Sunday. The former President of the United States was a guest at Laeken Castle. Crown Princess Elizabeth wore elegant clothes during the reception. Check out a photo of the trio below.

The Belgian court published a photo of King Philippe, his daughter, Crown Princess Elizabeth, and Barack Obama on Sunday. The latter was President of the United States from 2009 to 2017. Obama visited Philip and Elizabeth at their home in Laeken Castle. According to various media outlets, it was an unofficial visit. The Belgian king and Obama are said to get along well.

Crown Princess Elizabeth wore an elegant outfit from Jigsaw to the reception. The eldest daughter of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde wore a royal blue pantsuit. Elizabeth completed her look with modest earrings from Carolina Herrera.

Barack Obama visited the royal family regularly during his two terms in office. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima also had good relations with the then president. For example, in 2014 he was a guest at Huis Ten Bosch Palace. He was also received by William and Catherine, the Prince and Princess of Wales, at their home. One evening in 2016, he visited the couple. Little Prince George was allowed to stay up longer and met the US President wearing a bathrobe.
