After taking several pictures of the town hall, Umm started painting on January 31st. He worked almost continuously until the end of February. “Almost every day I have been drawing intensely from early morning until late afternoon. I have found this task to be one of the most difficult tasks I have completed in recent years. But the result leads to tremendous satisfaction and joy!” says Moma.

In 2024, the original will have a prominent place in De Steeg’s new town hall. The artist will reveal the pen drawing with Van Eert. But fans of Momma’s work can also enjoy it every day. From Saturday 19 November they can order a frameless duplicate for €100 from bookstores in Dieren and Velp.
Momma already has several pen drawings to his name. For example, sign on Amsterdam square and the town hall in Gouda. However, he says of the drawing of the town hall of Reiden: “Working on this task means a huge task that requires an incredible amount of effort. I did my best to represent the town hall as realistically as possible. In my opinion, the work turned out to be really great.”
