An unannounced Intel Core i5-14400 desktop processor has appeared in Geekbench. This is expected to be based on Raptor Lake, just like the previously announced 14th Gen CPUs. The processor will likely be released next year.

The Intel Core i5-14400 gets six P cores and four E cores, for a total of ten cores and sixteen threads with a TDP of 65W, so According to Geekbench listing. The processor thus looks technically almost identical to the previous Core i5-13400, which has the same core setup. The CPU will likely have higher clock speeds. According to Geekbench, the chip will have a base clock of 2.5GHz and a turbo frequency of up to 4.7GHz. He also writes VideoCardz. With the current Core i5-13400, these speeds are 2.5GHz and 4.6GHz, respectively.

Intel announced its first 14th generation CPUs on Monday. This is an update to the Raptor Lake architecture that Intel introduced last year. The chips often have slightly higher clock speeds, with the exception of the Core i7-14700K, which has additional electronic cores.

So far, Intel has only announced overclockable K and KF models with a TDP of 125W in the 14th Gen. The 65W models, which also include the Core i5-14400, are expected to be released in 2024. Previously, the product names of all 14th generation Core CPUs have already appeared in an Intel document, where the Core i5-14400 was also mentioned.
