At least 38 people were injured in a fire that broke out on the 20th floor of an apartment complex in Manhattan, New York. According to the American CNN news channel At least two people are in a critical condition and at least five others have been seriously injured.
Police say the fire was caused by a lithium-ion battery. These batteries are often used in electric scooters and e-bikes. According to the fire service, six people have died this year in fires caused by such batteries.
