DJI offers the Mavic 3 Pro drone with three cameras starting at € 2,099 – Image and sound – News

DJI introduces a Pro variant of the Mavic 3 drone. The Mavic 3 Pro, among other things, gets an extra camera compared to the “regular” Mavic 3 drone and is available from DJI from €2,099. The company also comes in Cine format for 4,599 euros. DJI will deliver the drone from May.

DJI Mavic 3 Pro It gets a three-sensor Hasselblad camera setup, all mounted on the same clamp for 3-axis image stabilization. So the Pro version has one more camera than the previous Mavic 3. Each camera has a different focal length. According to DJI, the new sensor is a “medium telephoto camera” with a focal length of 70mm and a resolution of 48MP. The lens has a constant f/2.8 aperture.

The two remaining cameras from the DJI Mavic 3 have been reused in the Pro. The primary camera sensor is 4/3 with a resolution of 20MP and has a dynamic range of 12.8 stops, according to DJI. The lens has a 24mm focal length and an adjustable aperture from f/2.8 to f/11. The drone also gets a telephoto camera with a 166mm lens and 12MP resolution, but in the Pro variant it has a slightly wider aperture of f/3.4.

The primary camera can record videos at a resolution of 5.1k and a frame rate of 50fps. This camera can also shoot slow-motion footage at 120fps in 4k resolution. The new 70mm camera can record 4k60 images. The 166mm camera also supports 4K recordings at 60fps this time around. According to DJI, the drone can fly for 43 minutes with a full battery. DJI also offers a cinematic version of the Mavic 3 Pro. It’s generally the same as the regular Pro variant, but it supports Apple ProRes encoding and comes with a built-in 1TB SSD for recordings.

The new drone also gets DJI O3+ for communication between the drone and controller. This provides a maximum range of 15km and can set up live broadcasts in 1080p60. This is possible with the RC Controller and RC Pro. The Mavic 3 Pro is available from DJI at a price of €2,099 and comes with a DJI RC controller for that amount. There will also be a Fly More package with extra batteries and undated filters for €2,799. The Fly More variant with the Pro controller costs 3,499 euros. The cinematic variant of the Mavic 3 Pro will be available for €4,599. The drone will be delivered from May.
