DJI launches the Pocket 3 at a price of 539 euros. The portable camera has a built-in 3-axis gimbal and supports recording slow-motion videos at up to 4K at a frame rate of 120 fps and regular videos at up to 60 fps
The DJI Pocket 3 has a 1-inch camera sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. Although the brand didn’t mention the camera resolution, the previous model had a much smaller sensor, at 1/1.7 inch. However, the new portable camera can only take photos at 9.4 megapixels, while previously it had a maximum resolution of 64 megapixels. Furthermore, the camera supports different recording resolutions, including 4K and 1080p slow-motion function with frame rates of 120 and 240 fps. In terms of resolution, this is also the range of regular videos, but at a frame rate of between 24 and 60 fps. The maximum bit rate is 130 MB/s.
DJI supplies the Pocket 3 with a 1,300 mAh battery. According to the company. The battery can be charged to 80 percent in 16 minutes and a full battery lasts for 166 minutes. A separately available additional battery adds 950 mAh battery capacity. This battery can be clicked on the handle. The larger battery provides power for a larger, tiltable display as well. Images can be displayed on the 2-inch OLED display at up to 700 cd/m2 and in the full DCI-P3 color gamut. Pocket 3 supports microSD cards with a storage capacity of up to 512GB.
