Deathloop gets FSR 2.0 support this week, Flight Simulator to follow later

Deathloop is the first game this week to receive support for AMD’s Fidelity FX Super Resolution 2.0. The critical update will be released on May 12th. More games will receive FSR 2.0 support in the coming months, including Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Asterigos, Delysium, EVE Online, Farming Simulator 22, Forspoken, Grounded, NiShuiHan, Perfect World Remake, Swordsman Remake, Unknown 9: Awakening will also receive FSR 2.0 support, writes amd† This will happen sometime in the coming months. These are the PC versions of the mentioned games.

At the end of March, AMD already took a first look at FSR 2.0 Performance in Deathloop† It was then also announced that the technology would arrive on Xbox consoles and some Nvidia GPUs. It is not yet known when console games will be released with FSR 2.0.

AMD states that the games mentioned are examples and that FSR 2.0 is coming in more titles, but none are known yet. The first version of FSR was available in 61 games in March and announced another 20 games to come. Nvidia’s corresponding DLSS was available in more than 150 games at the beginning of this year.

Like DLSS, FSR 2.0 is a technology for Expand the time range, where games are rendered at a lower resolution and scaled up to the desired higher resolution. This results in higher frame rates, while the impact on image quality is limited. Tweaker posted a Basic article on how these technologies work
