Singer Shifty Shelchuk from the American band Crazy Town has died. The band topped the charts in 2001 with the song butterfly. The singer was found dead in his home in Los Angeles. He was 49 years old. Nothing is known yet about the cause of death.

Shifty Shellshock was the stage name of Seth Binzer. He entered the music world in the early 1990s with the band Brimstone Sluggers, which a few years later morphed into Crazy Town. Their debut album was released in November 1999 Game gift Out, right butterfly stood up.

In the years following his biggest success, Shellshock struggled with addiction. Last year, he was in the news due to a fight with a band member and Crazy Town had to stop touring.
