Kansas City Chiefs Full-back Willie Jay Jr. is eligible to return from his four-match ban for this week’s match against San Francisco 49ers. Based on what his coach has seen in practice this week, fans can probably expect Jay to be in the lineup.
“He brought in good energy,” coach Andy Reed said of the full-back after training on Friday. “He takes all the actors, so he did a good job.”
Although Jay hasn’t played since the second week 27-24 wins Over the Los Angeles ChargersHe’s been allowed into the team facility for two weeks. Reed was happy to have Jay’s character back home.
“He has a great attitude,” Reid explained. “He’s a positive kid. He has that childish personality. He brings good energy to the room. So, it’s been nice to have him back here in the last couple of weeks.”
Reed left little doubt about Jay’s possible return.
“Yes, a good chance,” the coach confirmed.
Rising cornerstone Trent McDuffie’s standing is less certain. For the second week in a row, McDuffie is eligible to activate from injured reserve – and his first appearance since injuring his hamstring in the First week win against the Arizona Cardinals.
“We’ll see,” Reid said of McDuffie’s standing.
