Civilian emergency services are also kept on standby and fire engines and ambulances, among others, are placed at strategic locations for quick response. The people of the state have been asked to stock up on supplies for at least three days.

San Francisco Mayor London Breed says the city is “preparing for war.” Sandbags have been placed across the city to prevent flooding. Up to six inches of rain is expected. Wind gusts of up to 130 kilometers per hour are possible along the coast.
