British teenager convicted of stealing GTA VI videos

An eighteen-year-old Briton was convicted of piracy grand theft autoDeveloper: Rockstar. He is admitted to a psychiatric hospital indefinitely. The teenager broke into the game producer’s servers and posted stolen videos from it GTA VI Connected.

He writes that the British hacker did the hacking digitally without using a computer BBC News. Police had previously confiscated his computer due to a previous hack.

That’s why he used an Amazon Firestick (a device that plugs into your TV on which you can watch streaming services, for example), a TV and a smartphone to break into Rockstar digitally.

His hack gave the Briton access to the game developer’s servers. There he found ninety videos of the new game Grand Theft Auto VI on me. He blackmailed Rockstar via the messaging app Telegram. He demanded millions of euros. If this is not met, he will post the photos.

Rockstar did not follow through on its threat. That’s why the hacker posted the captured videos on a gaming fan forum last September.

This was not the first time the British teenager had made a mistake. The boy had previously broken into chip manufacturer NVIDIA. He did so under the banner of the hacker group Lapsus$.

The hacker had just finished his house arrest

After the robbery of NVIDIA, the boy was placed under house arrest under police supervision. He had just gotten out of jail when he hacked Rockstar.

Due to Rockstar’s hack, the boy is admitted to a psychiatric hospital indefinitely. This procedure is somewhat similar to TBS.

According to the judge, the boy suffers from autism disorder. Therefore, the possibility of a recurrence is high, according to the court.
