You can previously read about important ASUS innovations in the DIY market. But the brand has also managed to bring a number of key innovations to the market in other sectors. In this article we provide an overview of innovations in networking, LCD displays, NUCs, and gaming equipment.

ASUS has had a large share of the networking market for a number of years. In addition to home networks, it has recently also focused on the business market. At CES, ASUS showcased new products in both segments.

Zain WiFi: Home page

The new flagship is the ZenWiFi BQ16, a quad-band model based on Wi-Fi 7. The device has two 10GbE connections and three GbE connections for wired internet. Thanks to twelve omnidirectional antennas, excellent wireless coverage is achieved even in the most challenging environments. The 7th generation ASUS ZenWiFi features Smart Home Master function. This allows you to create separate networks for the VPN and for your children. This way you can ensure that your IoT equipment has better security and that your children have safe access to learning environments. You can also connect two networks via VPN with a specific SSID. These networks can be managed independently of each other. Thanks to ASUS ZenWiFi with Wi-Fi 7, you have three separate networks at your disposal, where the settings don’t interfere with each other.

The new Wi-Fi 7 technology can also be found on the cheaper BT10. This model offers a 442 antenna setup, while the more expensive model has a 444 setup. Connection options are simpler too: twice at 10GbE, and once just Gigabit.

Both models can use smart 4G/5G Auto Mobile Tethering technology. If you lose connection to your service provider for any reason, you can connect your Android or iPhone, and then you can (temporarily) use the shared internet connection and share it with all connected devices

ASUS ZenWiFi with Wi-Fi 7 can achieve high speeds. The backhaul network enables speeds of up to 8.57 Gbit/s. It allows you to transfer a 13-minute video in 4K resolution in less than 10 seconds.

ExpertWiFi: Business

For people looking for more options, ASUS has a wide range of business networking products. ExpertWiFi offers the possibility to easily set up networks for different purposes: for employees, for guests, with VPN and IoT. ASUS chooses the well-known Wi-Fi 6 for this series.

As with ZenWiFi products, you can use your cell phone as a backup in case your Internet connection drops.

Controller and AiProtection

You can manage this via a subscription-free cloud console. You don’t need a separate hardware controller to do this, because it’s already built in for you. In addition to management functions, the ExpertWifi controller offers AiProtection and IPS firewall technology, and ASUS also provides regular security updates without the need for a paid annual subscription. This makes this an interesting option for young entrepreneurs.

Monitoring accessories

ASUS is also committed to a large number of innovations in this product category. With the ROG Aura Monitor lighting bar you get “two products in one.” The extra light ensures you can work more comfortably, but also look better on broadcasts or calls. Thanks to the magnetic clip, you can easily mount the Aura Light Bar to almost any display. Color temperature and brightness are adjustable.

The ROG ERGO Monitor Arm is suitable for supporting a monitor up to 39 inches in size and a maximum weight of 11.5 kg. It also features double-sided cable management and allows you to swivel and tilt the screen.

Screens

ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM is a high-end OLED monitor aimed at creatives and gamers. 4K Ultra HD (3840×2160) resolution shows you every detail of the picture, and with a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time, you won’t miss any of the action. A peak brightness of 1000 nits ensures excellent HDR capabilities. The built-in KVM system allows you to easily switch between two connected systems.

Laptops and foldable phones are no longer a new thing. With Zenscreen Fold OLED MQ17QH, you can bring convenience to any PC. Being productive on the go has never been easier. The 17.3-inch display folds into a package that measures just 12.5 inches, weighs just 1.17kg and is only 9.7mm thick. You can connect the Zenscreen Fold OLED MQ17QH via HDMI or USB-C.

The ZenScreen MB166CR is a classic. This 15.6-inch display has a Full HD resolution and is connected via USB-C. The screen is equipped with a smart stand that you can also use to hang it.

NUC

With the new ASUS NUC 14 Pro+, you enter the world of artificial intelligence. This new compact PC delivers peak performance, thanks to an Intel Core Ultra 9 (Meteor Lake) processor. You’ll also find HDMI 2.1 and Thunderbolt 4 ports, and various USB connections. Networking is possible via 2.5GbE and Wi-Fi 6E. There’s room for up to two M2 SSDs inside.

Play arm

With the Keris II Ace, ASUS sets the standard for lightweight, ergonomic mice. The Keris II Ace is equipped with new micro-optical switches that can handle up to 100 million clicks. The shell is made of bio-nylon, but the left and right buttons are made of PBT. Using a special polling rate booster, you can achieve a polling rate of up to 4kHz when using the mouse wirelessly. If you’re using it wired, this will be doubled to 8kHz. Despite its advanced features, the mouse weighs only 54 grams. This mouse can achieve optimal performance on any surface, thanks to the ROG AimPoint Pro 42K DPI optical sensor with Track-on-Glass technology.

Also new is the low-profile ROG Falchion RX keyboard. This keyboard comes with a protective cover and has two layers of damping material. The keycaps have a UV coating, which increases their lifespan.

Sound is also important for gamers. ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova is a set of earphones that combine ultra-low latency with excellent sound quality. In addition to the standard codecs, the suite also offers a high-quality LC3 codec and a high-quality, adaptable LC3+ codec.
