Iranian website Sakhtafzarmag shared the specifications and benchmarks for the upcoming AMD Ryzen 8000G APUs, also known as the Phoenix series. The site notes that the APUs deliver up to 2.5 times better gaming performance compared to the Ryzen 5000G series.

The Ryzen 8000G APUs are said to use the Zen 4 architecture for the CPU and the RDNA 3 architecture for the GPU. APUs are supported on AM5 motherboards. The AMD Ryzen 8700G is said to be the flagship, with 8 cores and 16 threads, a base clock speed of up to 4.2GHz, and a boost clock speed of up to 5.1GHz. The Ryzen 5 8600G has 6 cores and 12 threads, a base clock speed of up to 4.35 GHz, and a boost clock speed of up to 5 GHz. The Ryzen 3 8300G will have 3.45GHz and 4.9GHz. Both APUs are based on the Phoenix 1 chip.

The Phoenix 2 chipset includes the Ryzen 5 8500G and Ryzen 3 8300G. The 8500G APU has 6 cores and 12 threads, with a base clock speed of 3.55 GHz and a boost clock speed of 5 GHz. The 8300G APU has 4 cores and 6 threads, with a base clock speed of 3.45 GHz and a boost clock speed of 4.9 GHz.

Ryzen 8000G APUs have a TDP of 65W or 45W, but are also available with a TDP of 35W with lower clock speeds. The AMD Ryzen 8000G series is expected to be announced on January 31, 2024. The APUs may be available from February 11.
