Activists use random Instagram video from NOS to protest |  Technique
Activists have randomness Instagram video From NOS to draw attention to the situation in Iran. They have thousands of comments under this post. The video is about the state visit of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima to Greece and their conversations with refugees.

Comments come from a large number of Instagram accounts with many followers and many posts. Iranian influencers also posted comments under the NOS video. So it appears to be a protest or awareness campaign coordinated from real Instagram accounts.

The comments concluded with the hashtag #MahsaAmini, referring to the death of 22-year-old Iranian-Kurdish Mohsa Gina Amini.

Amini died on September 13 at a police station. She was arrested because, according to the Arts Syndicate, she was not dressed in accordance with the strict rules of Islamic law. Since her death, demonstrations have taken place inside and outside Iran against the oppression of women and the Iranian regime.

A spokesperson for NOS told NU.nl. “We don’t know who’s behind this act. Whether it’s a protest action or an impact campaign we don’t care much. They often flock to each other.”
