A French company will launch the Nokia PureBook Pro laptop at 699 euros in May – Computer – News

OFF Global has signed a license agreement to use the Nokia brand name for laptop computers in 22 countries, including Benelux. The French startup is also presenting its first model: the Nokia PureBook Pro in 15.6 and 17.3-inch versions.

OFF Global is a new company that was founded in 2020 with the aim of releasing laptops under the Nokia name. The French startup is responsible for production, sales and support, but says it is partnering with Nokia to “deliver the quality and performance expected of Nokia”.

The first laptop released by OFF Global is the Nokia PureBook Pro with an accessory Intel Core i3-1220P† This is a 28W Alder Lake Series laptop processor with two performance cores and eight efficiency cores. The P cores contain Hyper-Threading, which brings the thread count to twelve. The clock speed of the chip is up to 4.4 GHz. Furthermore, the laptop is equipped with an 8GB DDR4-2666 capacity and a 512GB PCIe SSD. According to the manufacturer, the SSD and memory can be replaced.

There will be a 15.6-inch model with an IPS panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a 57Wh battery. OFF Global also announced a 17.3-inch version of the laptop with a numeric keypad. It also has the same specifications as the smaller model. Notebooks have a plastic casing and an aluminum cover. There are four built-in speakers: two on the side and two on the bottom.

Windows 11 laptops have a fingerprint scanner with Windows Hello support and should be available in Benelux as of May. The 15.6″ model is priced at 699 euros and the 17.3″ version has a suggested retail price of 799 euros.

The license agreement between OFF Global and Nokia covers the sale of laptops in 22 countries. The French company began sales in Western Europe, North Africa, Thailand and Canada. The Netherlands and Belgium are among the countries where laptops first appeared on the market. Laptops should be available in all 22 countries by the end of 2022.

This is not the first time that Nokia branded laptops have appeared. At the end of 2020, it was released Indian retailer Flipkart It released the first Nokia PureBook phone.
