He notes that he’s missed performing. “You do something you enjoy doing the most. And at some point you miss it.” Yurick adds that he was really looking forward to being on stage again. “We’re on our way to recovery,” he says.

In addition to his comeback as a rapper, he also sees his son Leo from time to time. “If Leo is in the Netherlands, I’ll see him.” He admits that it doesn’t happen as often as he’d like. Leo has to go to school after the summer holidays because he’s now five years old. “He’ll go to a supervised program in the Netherlands,” says Jurik. “Then I can also take him to school and pick him up. I really like that.”

Naturally, his new relationship cannot remain undiscussed. Jurek is absolutely delighted to be in love again. “I didn’t think I would fall in love again, but I look 16 again.” When asked how they know each other, the answer is that they have mutual friends. “In Ibiza we looked at each other and never left each other,” he adds. “I’m very happy, of course.” Anna is a Pilates teacher. Jurek doesn’t want to say exactly where she does it, because “otherwise the whole gym would be full.”

Yurick can only say of the lawsuit with his former partner Jamie that he hopes it will be settled quickly. “I can’t wait for that to happen.”
