According to multiple reports, Christopher Morel He’ll head to Tampa as part of a deal with two other promising Chicago Cubs players. Swingers Hunter Page and Ty Johnson are also headed to the Rays, according to reports.

Paredes set career highs in home runs, RBIs and batting average last season with the Rays, hitting 31 home runs and driving in 98 RBIs in 143 games.

In 100 games so far this season, Paredes has hit 16 home runs and 55 RBIs, with a .247/.355/.438 batting percentage. He also made his first All-Star game with Tampa.

Paredes will remain under team control for three more seasons, earning $3.4 million this season with Tampa.

Morrell hit 18 home runs and 51 RBIs for the Cubs this season, posting a .199/.302/.374 batting average in 420 total plate appearances.
