Eve releases an updated version of Weather with Matter support. The new version costs just under €80 and can display basic weather information, including temperature, humidity and an indication of weather conditions.

The weather station uses the Thread connection standard and runs on battery. The weather station again has a temperature range of -18 to 55 degrees Celsius with an accuracy of 0.3 degrees Celsius and an air pressure sensor that can measure between 260 and 1260 millibars. The hygrometer is accurate to 3 percent.

According to The Verge Existing Eve Weather boxes can be upgraded to receive Matter support, although Eve doesn’t explicitly state this on its website. The weather station’s additional specifications are identical to its predecessor, which in practice means that the updated model only differs in the pre-installed software from its predecessor, which, according to Pricewatch, is available for 30 euros less. The company did not respond to Tweakers’ questions before this article was published.
