Earlier this month A sitting president was voted in, a first in American history. Interim Speaker or Acting President Patrick McHenry, like Emmer, is a crypto supporter. However, he does not have the power to introduce new legislation as a temporary president.

Emmer is immediately a major contender for the position, which has already been received with loud cheers by the crypto community. Emmer has often spoken out in support of the crypto industry and has also strongly opposed the policy of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
