Cities: Skylines II developers warn of poor PC performance after release – Games – News

It’s hard to be “transparent”, but you are very close to release. It’s nice that they reported this before the game was released, but I think this is unexpected for the developer. Such things can be tested in advance. I’m curious to see how much they can improve in terms of performance in the coming months.

I also don’t read anything about hard deadlines on the forums, but only information like “We will constantly improve the game over the coming months”, or “The mod is currently in beta and will be available to PC players shortly after.” Shoots.” And the thing, as they themselves point out with this response, is: “We didn’t meet the standard we targeted.” It’s almost like “We know the game isn’t over yet, but we told you so!”

In addition, Steam Workshop will not be supported (as with the first part), but will be ported to Paradox Mods, due to cross-platform support. Does anyone have experience with this?

On the other hand, the minimum requirements are like GTX 970, it is not surprising that a new game does not run well on this device. This is a very old graphics card. Most “reasonable” gaming systems you buy will likely already have an RTX 3060. On the other hand, the RTX 3080 and 16GB of RAM, which is the recommended spec, is very expensive. I know very few “casual” gamers who have such a thick graphics card.

Fortunately, the game can be played via Xbox Pass, which is of course great :)
