About 55,000 interested home hunters participated in Saturday’s open house day. This was announced by the NVM real estate agency.
In total, approximately 9,000 participating homes can be viewed between 11am and 3pm without making an appointment.
Open House Day is held twice a year. During the April issue, you can take a look at nearly 13,600 homes for sale. This was much more than in the previous edition. More than 66,000 people tuned in to watch in April, 11,000 more than last time.
According to NVM, there were fewer homes to visit this time than in April, because the housing market is now tighter than it was six months ago. “The range is well diversified and well distributed across the country,” says Chris van Zantwijk of the Estate Agencies Association.
Prices in the housing market began to decline last summer. This made it less difficult, especially for first-time buyers, to purchase a home. Last summer, De Hypotheekshop reported that house prices were stabilizing based on figures from the NVM. This may be due to a tight market as well as increased confidence in the market among buyers. House prices are now rising slightly again despite higher mortgage rates.
