Producer Jeroen Koopman of NewBe said in the initial response to the nomination that he was “very proud”. “It was truly a childhood dream to be able to produce this series as a company,” says Koopman. He added: “Season one was already a huge success in terms of viewing numbers and reactions, but the fact that we are also receiving recognition in this way with the nomination is really great.”

The second season of the series has now been filmed, but it is not yet clear when it will be shown.
The 2023 International Emmy Awards are scheduled to be handed out on November 20 in New York.
