Dutch green phone maker Fairphone has introduced its new Fairphone 4. Expanded with two front cameras, it has more storage space than its predecessors and 5G internet.
Fairphone is a Dutch company focused on the sustainable and equitable production of smartphones. Unique in design is that you can repair the phone yourself. Almost all parts, from the battery to the screen, can be purchased separately and are easy to assemble. A kind of Ikea locker like a phone. New in Fairphone 4

By designing the Fairphone 4 for the future, the company hopes to extend the life of smartphones. For example, the phone now works with 5G Internet, because this mobile network is becoming increasingly popular. It also offers a five-year warranty and software support. Fairphone 4 runs on Android 11, the latest version of Google’s operating system.
The phone memory has also been greatly improved compared to the Fairphone 3+. Where you had to deal with the predecessor with 68 GB internal memory, you get 128 GB at your disposal with the latest version. If you do not allocate 579 euros for 649 euros for your new phone, you will get at least 256 GB of internal memory.
This new phone comes in the familiar black color, but it is also available in green. In addition, there are backs for sale made of recycled plastic. This is good news for anyone who loves grayish green, because that’s pretty much the color spectrum. Their backs are available in green, gray and green with spots.
No more audio port
Since the iPhone 7 caused a panic by removing the audio port, no one has been surprised by a smartphone without an earphone insert. Fairphone has also made the switch and users without wireless earbuds or headphones have to deal with the USB-c port. Therefore, an additional adapter must be purchased for this.
