docom – From Friday, October 15, 2021, the catering industry in Duqm can be visited on Friday and Saturday using the wristband as a Corona ticket. Docom is following the example of other cities that are already working with this and fits the option made by the Ministry for this.

Food industry visitors only need to scan a QR code and show their ID once a day. Additionally, this setup makes it easier for the catering industry to check who has a Corona ticket.

Checkpoint and issuance in the market

Catering visitors who wish to receive a wristband must show their Corona Pass and proof of identity. This is possible at a specially equipped “barrier” in the market in Duqm.

After the examination there, visitors are given a wrist bracelet. The bracelets are only valid on the day of release and have a different color every day. In the coming weeks, the barrier will be open on Fridays between 2pm and 11pm and on Saturdays between 11am and 11pm.

Participating catering can be identified by a poster

The label on the window indicates that the catering facility is involved with the bracelets. Corona entry ticket along with ID can still be scanned to visit a catering facility.

“Access Test” back in Duqm

From the afternoon of Friday 15 October, there will be another opportunity to “test to reach” in Duqm. Except for the first ten days of October, residents of this area have so far had to travel to Leeuwarden or Drachten for the “access test”. Mayor Kramer is happy that this could happen again in Duqm. “We’ve found it annoying for people to travel so far to test accessibility. That’s why we’ve looked at possibilities close to home. We’re very happy we’ve found a solution for our residents.”

Therefore, the municipality of Noardeast-Fryslân decided to make a test site available on a small scale. This test site is integrated with the point of issue of the crown bracelets and is therefore also on the market in Dokkum. Residents can take the tests themselves here for free. They can make an appointment for this via the website testenvoortoegang.org.

The Dokkumer test site is currently open on Fridays and Saturdays only. Depending on the test requirements, it is checked whether the tests can also be taken on other days of the week.
