Why the Backstreet Boys succeed as a group, but not alone | Music

I will never leave the Backstreet Boys

Backstreet boys have never lost popularity in all those years. With 130 million records, they are still the most successful boy band on paper ever. What sets them apart from many other boy groups is that they have never separated since their inception in 1993. Unlike other groups, the five singers have a warm friendship and there have never been any major quarrels.

Some members, such as Carter and Richardson, temporarily left the group and the band itself took several breaks. They are no longer as active as they were in the 1990s. But they regularly release new music or go on tour.

“My solo career and group work go hand in hand,” AJ McLean said. CNN. “I don’t understand why you can’t bring both worlds together. The group is where I started and I always come back to. Even if I had the biggest solo hit ever, I wouldn’t really leave the Backstreet Boys. This is where I belong.”

The American asserts that this also applies to his four colleagues. “Backstreet Boys are number one for all of us.”
