In recent years, Samsung has often put its QLED models in the spotlight in the TV field. With the S95B, the electronics company has been offering a high-end OLED TV for a long time. With this model, Samsung is taking a slightly different approach.

According to Samsung, this screen will treat users with improved brightness, color, and better viewing angle compared to regular woled TVs in the market. This is achieved by combining quantum dot technology and OLED. The Samsung QD OLED S95B promises impressive contrast, more colors, high brightness and a wide viewing angle.

Plain wool panels use white OLEDs with regular color filters placed in front of them to create red, green, and blue sub-pixels. QD OLEDsManufactured by Samsung Display, however, OLEDs use blue OLEDs with quantum dots to convert some of that blue light into red and green. In combination with unfiltered white pixels, brightness and viewing angle are increased. Claimed main benefit QD-oled Above is the color size woled.
With broken panels, color saturation will likely decrease as brightness increases, as this type of screen blends into white light to allow for high brightness. By mixing white light, saturation decreases, resulting in less saturated colors with bright highlights, especially in HDR reproduction. This is a limitation that only applies to woled. Other screen technologies, such as rgb-oled used in smartphones, tablets and LCD screens, are not affected by this, just like QD-oled.
Playing on Samsung S95B
Samsung is investing heavily in gaming and you will be well prepared with this TV. This TV supports 4K to 120Hz via HDMI 2.1. Since all four ports support this feature, you can connect your PlayStation, PC, and Xbox to it at the same time. In addition, the monitor supports variable refresh rate (vrr), FreeSync Premium, and automatic low latency. There is support for a refresh rate of up to 144Hz – uhd with VRR, and the S95B also supports 4:4:4 chroma subsampling.
In addition, this TV has a so-called “Gaming Dashboard”, which is a list of functions to further adjust the game mode to your own taste. There are several presets available and you can adjust the screen ratio from 16:9 to 21:9 or 32:9, if desired, for Ultra HD gaming.
Cloud gaming is also possible on TV, because the Microsoft Xbox Cloud Gaming app is supported. It allows you to stream Xbox games to your TV.
