Eminent VVD Edith Schippers will likely be nominated as party leader in the Senate elections for her party. This concludes the NOS program Tomorrow’s goal Based on discussions with stakeholders.

During her political career, Schippers has been a member of the House of Representatives, Secretary of Health, and an informant. On February 1, 2019, she became the Chair of the Board of Directors of DSM Nederland and since January 1 of this year she became the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of DSM Europe.

In the 2019 Senate elections, former Minister Anne-Marie Goeritzma was the leader of the VVD party. The party then won twelve of the seventy-five seats.
