According to The New York Times Several members of Congress have been inundated with calls from TikTok users this week. The protest was sparked by a bill introduced in the US Congress this week.
If passed, the law would require TikTok to sever ties with ByteDance within six months. The Chinese company owns the popular app. If TikTok doesn’t sever those ties, the bill would ban the app.
