During the livestream, Ubisoft showed off extensive footage of The Division Heartland, a free-to-play spin-off of The Division games.

Revealed in 2021, the game has been in small-scale testing for a year, but Ubisoft has invited interested parties to sign up for another upcoming test by Official Website. More information about the game should be released this summer.

The game takes place in the small American town of Silver Creek, which players as a Division agent must protect from rogue agents and a virus that has wiped out a large part of the population. Players help Boston Agent Mackenzie Reed build a base called “Rocket Arena”. There players can find each other and form groups. In addition, there is a day-night cycle, whereby there is a greater focus on stronger enemies at night.

Every day a virus can appear in different places in the city, and players must find out why. In places where the virus is circulating, masks with special filters that can permeate must be used. There are three classes to choose from – Weapons Expert, Medic and Survivor. To be better equipped for every day, all kinds of tools can be made. Even sterilized water should be brought with you to drink.

It is not yet clear when The Division Heartland should be released, but as mentioned, the game will be free. The game is in development for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and S.

Ubisoft also revealed more information about Year 5 of The Division 2, which begins in June and is called Broken Wings. A new mode will be added to the game called Descent, which is a free roguelite mode where people don’t need Warlords of New York expansion. The Sam Fisher costume will be added with the first Year 5 Premium Pass, and from April 25th to May 9th, the Leon Kennedy costume will return to claim for free.

Finally, the free mobile game The Division Resurgence is still in development. The game has a single and co-op campaign and a story that takes place between the first two games of The Division. A first testing phase should take place this summer. Those interested can apply Register here.

The videos below feature a cinematic intro and more information about The Division Heartland, and then the entire presentation, which also includes more details about Year 5 of The Division 2 and shows footage from The Division Resurgence.
