After the Airbus entered service in January, only 189 of the 232 seats were sold, so the plane could easily be replaced by the smaller Boeing 737-800 without the need to rebook passengers.

With 232 seats on board, the Airbus A321neo is the largest aircraft in Transavia colors since the company leased Boeing 757-300s more than twenty years ago. In the last century, the company also flew the larger Airbus A300 and A310 aircraft.
