The army was called
Winter weather causes major problems on the road at the southern tip of Sweden. There are about a thousand cars stuck on the E22 highway, which runs along the southern coast, between the cities of Horby and Kristianstad.
“It’s complete chaos,” police spokeswoman Evelina Olsson told the Swedish newspaper. SVT. The army was called in to help.
Some cars have been parked since yesterday morning. Olson says that only in the evening were snow plows able to reach the part of the road where the snowfall was heavy.
“The problem is that it snows so heavily that the road is completely covered with snow again after the snow is plowed.”
“I walked two kilometers”
The situation is dire for people stuck in the winter weather. Police advised everyone to wait in the car. A Swede who has been stuck since 11:30 a.m. told SVT: “We have neither food nor water.”

The Swedish Army is helping free motorists with twelve tracked vehicles that can drive through the snow. People are taken from their cars to a gym in Horby.
according to Watchman Denmark is also affected by winter weather. Motorists have also been urged not to drive on the road unless there is no other option.
