The Raiders have signed first-round pick TE Brock Bowers

Henderson, Neve. – The Las Vegas Raiders signed a first-round draft pick T. E. Brooke PowersThe club announced on Thursday.

Bowers, a 6-foot-3, 243-pound standout from Georgia, was selected with the 13th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Bowers has played in 40 career games over three seasons and totaled 175 receptions for 2,538 yards and 26 touchdowns, earning All-Star honors A three-time First Team All-American – becoming just the third player in program history to accomplish the feat. He also became the first consecutive winner of the John Mackey Award (2022, 2023), which is given to the nation’s best tight end.

In 2023, Powers led the Bulldogs with 56 catches for 714 yards and six touchdowns. He ranked second in the nation among tight ends in receiving yards (714) and sixth nationally in receiving touchdowns (six). As a freshman, Powers was named SEC Freshman of the Year after setting the school record for most receptions in a single season with 13.

A native of Napa, California, Powers attended Napa High School, where he led the team to a 7-4 record and a CIF North Coast Division II playoff appearance as a junior in 2019. He finished the season with 1,499 all-purpose yards and 18 total touchdowns, Including 39 receptions for 1,098 yards and a school-record 14 touchdowns, as well as 22 carries for 316 yards and three touchdowns. Bowers is rated as a four-star recruit by 247Sports, Rivals.com and ESPN.com.
