There are a few more buttons on the upcoming Nintendo 64 console compared to the original console.

Nintendo unveiled a replica of the console during a live broadcast. Later this year, Nintendo 64 games (and Mega Drive games) can be played on the Switch via an additional Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

The promotional image of the new console shows the top of it. This indicates the presence of new buttons that were not present in the original version. It includes the ZR button and the Home and Share buttons on the top of the console. The console also has a USB-C port for charging, as well as a sync button.

Like a replica of the Mega Drive console, Nintendo Switch Online members can order the console. Each console costs 49.99 euros.

The N64 games available at Switch Online launch include The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Star Fox 64, Super Mario 64, WinBack, Yoshi’s Story, and Mario Kart 64. Playable with four people. A total of nine N64 games will be available at launch. Mega Drive games will also appear on the Nintendo Switch, including Ecco the Dolphin, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Ristar, and Streets of Rage 2. There are fourteen games in total.

Later, other N64 and Mega Drive games will also be released on the online platform, including Banjo-Kazooie. Both N64 and Mega Drive games are part of a new subscription, which existing Nintendo Switch Online members can upgrade to. More details about this subscription, including price and exact release date, will follow soon.
