Who is Banksy?
Journalist James Beck says he received information on Sunday afternoon Interview with BBC Radio 4. He went there and quickly realized it was a real example with “all the elements” of Banksy: “the right techniques, an interesting and easy-to-understand message, and a clever website.” The green paint color is the same color as the signage Islington uses for social housing in the area. “With Banksy, context is everything.”
Peak did a podcast series Banksy’s storyWhere he tries to discover more about the artist’s identity. Regarding Monday’s mural, he says: “The message is clear: nature is going through difficult times, and it is up to us to help it grow again.”
The last work Banksy painted at the end of last December, which is three fighter planes at a stoplight, was also discovered in London. A man with a hedge trimmer soon stole the sign and two men were arrested. A group of people who tried to steal a Banksy painting were also arrested in the Hostomil suburb of Kiev. James Beck says his latest artwork is “impossible to steal.” “He solved the problem intelligently. “The individual elements of a work of art have no meaning without each other.”
