The cheapest used car in the world from Tata Steel

Autovisie is always looking for used cars for its enthusiasts and therefore searches the listings of the sales site Gaspedal.nl. This time we found a car from Tata Motors (sister company of Tata Steel). This model was once the cheapest car in the world.

In the Netherlands, we know Tata from its steel plant near Ijmeden, but not so much from its cars. This is a good thing, because in terms of safety, it is better to go to another used car.

The cheapest car in the world

There are only two Tata Nanos in the Netherlands, one of which is for sale as a used car. The cheapest car at that time was 1,500 euros. Now as a used car, the seller is asking 4k for it. For this money, you would be better off buying another used car.

It is interesting that the Tata Nano is on sale. The used car has a 0.6-litre twin-cylinder engine that produces 38 PS of power and 51 Nm of torque. The rear wheels are driven by a four-speed manual gearbox.

The Tata Nano accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in 30 seconds. According to the seller, it is possible to go at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour, although the ad states that it is not advisable to drive at that speed: “It is recommended to avoid the motorway.” The cheapest car in the world weighs only 642 kilograms

The used car is from 2013 and has had a Dutch license plate since 2015. The odometer reads 82,000 km.

You don’t have to pay these fines!

The cheapest car from India has not survived the past 10 years completely unscathed. The front bumper is “adorned” with fins, and the smallest four-door car ever has a sports exhaust. This probably gave the Tata Nano extra horsepower.
