Sony has manufactured the updated PlayStation 5 consoles with a thinner design and is available in the Benelux countries. The smaller PS5 with a removable drive costs €550, while the digital version without a drive costs €450. It’s not clear what the delivery time for the consoles will be.

Other specifications are largely identical, except for a 1TB SSD in the smaller versions compared to the older variants with 825GB of storage. Furthermore, the drive for the disc version can now be replaced or removed. The digital version can also be equipped with a separate drive. The drive is also now Available for 120 euros.

Sony previously released the updated PlayStation 5 consoles in the US. This relates to controllers that fall under the “Slim model range”, but are not officially declared as “Slim”. Existing stock of regular PlayStation 5 consoles with a larger size and possible hard drive are still being sold, but updated variants should eventually replace these products.

The consoles are available now on Sony’s Dutch webstore, but the manufacturer has not mentioned a delivery time or release date. Dutch gaming store chain told Tweakers that the console is available as of today, both physically and via the webstore. Some major web stores and other electronics chains have also started selling the updated consoles.
