Software Update: Cyberduck 8.7.0 – PC – Downloads

Cyberduck logo (75px) Cyberduck version 8.7.0 has been released. This software, released under the GPL, is FTP, SFTP, and webdavThe client also supports several cloud storage services that use S3 or OpenStack API. The program has a clear interface and supports technologies such as Spotlight, Bonjour, Keychain, Applescript, and Growl. You can also use several pre-installed text editors, including BBEdit, TextMate, Mi, Smultron, and CSSEdit. Cyberduck can be used in a large number of languages, including Dutch. The following two issues have been resolved in this release:


  • Support for SMB (Server Message Blocking) protocol (#5368)
  • Support for login with temporary credentials from the Security Token Service (STS API) using OpenID Connect (OIDC) web identity (S3) (#13804)
  • Sign in using the AWS S3/STS + Google (OIDC) connection profile (S3)
  • Sign in with your AWS S3/STS + Azure AD (OIDC) connection profile (S3)
  • OAuth 2.0 login support in (ownCloud) (#14876)
  • Allow creation of internal share (ownCloud, Nextcloud) (#14197)
  • Option to download and install updates automatically (macOS)
  • Specify creation date for uploaded files (Backblaze B2, Box, Google Drive)


  • Bugfix updating temporary access credentials obtained from CLI (S3) configuration (#10917)
  • Bugfix Cannot reuse nonce for GCM encryption to upload small files (Cryptomator)
