While the Pentagon is still investigating leaks of secret plans from the US and NATO on military aid to Ukraine, another leak of classified US documents was announced on Friday evening. This time it concerned documents revealing security details about the Middle East, China and again Ukraine.

The documents surfaced on Twitter and on the Internet forum 4chan on Friday, the reports said The New York Times. According to the newspaper, investigators say there could be more than 100 documents, which would be extremely damaging in terms of the amount and sensitivity of the information. A senior intelligence official described the leak as “a nightmare for five eyes”, referring to the intelligence agencies of the US, Britain, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. All five countries share a large amount of information.

Earlier, The New York Times reported The US Department of Defense has launched an investigation into how the screenshots looked Top secretThe documents have landed on Twitter and Telegram. It concerns images of documents on preparations for an upcoming Ukrainian offensive against Russia, and, among other things, overviews of US and NATO’s planned arms deliveries and troop numbers.

One of the documents reviewed was about assessing Ukraine’s air defense capability. One paper, dated February 23, is marked “confidential/noforn,” meaning it has not been shared with other countries.

Mick Mulroy, a former senior Pentagon official, said the leak of classified documents was “a significant security breach” that could disrupt Ukrainian military planning. “Because it includes images of several documents, it looks like it was deliberately leaked by someone who wanted to harm the efforts of Ukraine, the US and NATO.”
