In terms of appearance, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is pretty much identical to its predecessor, with the same oddly shaped display on the outside – to accommodate the two lenses. What’s immediately noticeable is that the new Flip is more colorful. Previous models were only colored differently on the back panel, which is the only large surface of the phone without a display. But it’s clear that more color could be used, because on the Flip 6 the edges of the device, the hinge, and even the edges around the lenses are all colored.

Especially renewed under the hood.

One of the new and exciting features that has been leaked is a translation mode. You can see your input at the top of the big screen and the translation is at the bottom as well on the small external display. This makes conversations in a foreign language a little easier than having to keep turning your phone to the other person, hoping he or she understands the French mountain hotel you’re looking for.

But the biggest innovations are mostly under the hood. For example, both the Fold 6 and Flip 6 now run on the new, faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. The Flip 6 has a big upgrade to its 50MP camera compared to the 12MP camera on the Flip5. The battery is also slightly larger: 4,000mAh compared to 3,700mAh on the previous model. This, combined with the new chip, should offer a longer battery life of between two and three hours.

The Fold 6 has higher brightness again: the screen will soon be able to reach 2,600 nits of brightness, while the Fold 5 went up to 1,750 nits and the Fold 4 up to 1,000 nits. So you can see that Samsung continues to fix a lot with these devices. And while the cameras and battery are the same as the Fold 5, it’s a bit lighter, more compact, thinner and the battery life has increased by an hour or two.

What should that cost?

The only thing we’re missing now is the prices for the Fold 6 and Flip 6. Unfortunately, they’re going to get more expensive again: again. 100 until 150 euros More expensive, according to rumors.
