Samsung partners with developers to bring games to foldable devices – tablets and phones – News

Samsung is said to have partnered with several game developers. The company wants to make sure that popular and future mobile games are optimized for its foldable smartphones.

According to the Korea Economic Daily The company has set up divisions in five countries to ensure the release of more games for its foldable devices in the future: South Korea, China, the United Kingdom and Ukraine. According to the South Korean business newspaper, these countries were chosen because there are enough game developers active there, but also because the company already has enough activities of its own there.

Korea Economic Daily editors believe Samsung is already working with Epic Games, Krafton, NCSoft, Nexon, Smilegate, Kakao Games, and Pearl Abyss. It is not clear whether this list of game developers is correct, as the company has not yet officially announced the rumors.

The South Korean manufacturer wants to grow the market for its foldable smartphones through mobile gaming. The company also wants to differentiate itself from its competitors with foldable smartphones in this way. Earlier this month, a rumor also surfaced that Samsung wants to launch its own cloud gaming service. Galaxy phone and tablet owners shouldn’t have to pay for this.
