Samsung announces the Galaxy Book4 Edge phone equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Book4 Edge, a laptop powered by a new Arm SoC from chip designer Qualcomm. The laptop comes with a 14- or 16-inch AMOLED display and will be available from June 18.

The SoC processor in the 14-inch version has a boost clock of 4.0GHz as standard. The 16-inch model comes with two different chip SKUs, with a boost clock of 4.0 and 4.2 GHz.

Both versions have 16GB of memory and 512GB of SSD storage. Both the 14-inch and 16-inch versions have an AMOLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels and a maximum brightness of 500 cd/m2. The maximum refresh rate for both displays is 120Hz. The 14-inch Galaxy Book4 Edge also has two USB4 connections, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The 16-inch version has the same connectivity options, plus an additional USB 3.2 connection and a microSD card reader. The laptops run Windows 11 and are part of Microsoft’s new Copilot+ PC program. This gives them access to the operating system’s artificial intelligence features.

The Galaxy Book4 Edge will be released on June 18 in “select markets” including France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Spain, the UK and the US. It is not clear whether the laptops will also be released in the Netherlands or Belgium on this date.
