Russia has been a stumbling block, but a new nuclear deal with Iran is imminent

This was called a historic nuclear deal: an agreement to ensure that Iran restricts its nuclear activities. In return, sanctions on the country will be lifted. But it made no sense that Donald Trump withdrew the United States, paving the way for more and more new sanctions against Iran.

Conclusion: Iran no longer a non-compliant license. The current US President, Joe Biden, wanted an agreement with several countries. Thus resumed talks with Iran.

Problems with Russia

The talks have been going on for almost a year. Iran’s authors: The United States, in other words, China, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the European Union and Russia. Precisely because the latter country caused problems unexpectedly.

It has everything to do with the war in Ukraine. Russia does not want sanctions imposed on Ukraine to affect economic cooperation with Iran. The two countries are allies of each other.

Negotiator for Iran

That is why, two weeks ago, Russia abruptly put forward additional demands for the conclusion of the agreement. EU foreign affairs chief Borel says an agreement has now been reached. This is because part of the Russian demands have been met. The European Union’s chief negotiator travels to Iran today to clear the last embankment.
