Robbie Williams did not immediately recognize singer Barbra Streisand during a vacation meeting. The singer had no idea who she was and thought she was a “nice old lady”. This was revealed on Sunday in an interview on BBC Radio 5.
The artists were introduced to each other by friends while on vacation in Tahiti. The former Take That First star said the first meeting was very awkward.
The 48-year-old said, “Hi Barbara, nice to meet you. I thought it was a nice old woman. Then I sat down next to her and it turned out to be Barbra Streisand. Then I suddenly realized it.” Williams.
But when I realize who you are, it turns out that there is no acknowledgment of the opposite. According to Williams, the 80-year-old singer thought he was a soccer player because he got involved in Soccer Aid. This is an annual charity football game created by Williams.
“People were talking about Soccer Aid and I just assumed I was playing soccer,” the singer says. “Then I quickly told her I was a singer. She said she liked it.”
Streisand has won several Oscars and Grammy Awards in her career. Williams became world famous with the music group Take That and as a solo artist, he recorded hits like Angels And the Let me entertain you. His new album will be released next month.
