“Ring of Fire”: An eclipse clearly visible over North and South America

The solar eclipse was seen in many countries, including the United States and Mexico. The US space agency NASA reported the solar eclipse via live broadcast. At first there was little to see on this river, as it was cloudy over Oregon. The solar eclipse was only visible in the live broadcast one hour later.

In Albuquerque, New Mexico, viewers had better luck. The air was clear, so tens of thousands of spectators were able to fully enjoy this natural phenomenon. The organization distributed 80,000 pairs of protective glasses.

The eclipse coincided with a major hot air balloon festival in Albuquerque. The balloonists also worked together to create a “ring of fire” using flares.

The path in which the Sun was most eclipsed in America was through states such as California and Texas and across the Gulf of Mexico towards Colombia and Brazil. The shadow on the ground is clearly visible in the animation released by NASA.

Another solar eclipse will be visible in North and South America in April. Then it starts in Mexico and moves in the opposite direction over the same areas. This eclipse will not be visible in our country like it is today.
