Mini and Maxi

Phones seem to be getting bigger. If you’re looking for a large device, there are plenty of options with a 6.7-inch screen. If you want a smaller phone, you usually have to deal with a mediocre processor. If you want a compact device with a fast chip, you have fewer options. So the unsuccessful Apple iPhone 13 mini is, for example, an option or the new Zenfone from Asus.

Xiaomi 12 Pro phone.

Xiaomi lets you pick something up with the 12 Series. The 12 has a 6.28-inch screen, and the 12 Pro has a 6.77-inch screen. The tiny 12 is still much bigger than the iPhone 13 mini; This device has a screen size of only 5.4 inches. The half-inch difference doesn’t seem like much, but if you put the 12 and 12 Pro side by side, you can see it – and it happens when you hold them in your hand.

The difference in size also translates to weight. Where the Pro weighs 205 grams, the “normal” 12 weighs 180 grams. Just like the difference in size, the different weight is clearly noticeable when you take both devices in your hand.

Despite the differences in size, the two devices are technically similar. Both have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 gen 1 on board. This is a relatively powerful processor with a similar GPU. You will find it in quite a few luxury phones. So if you are looking for a phone with this chip, you have a lot of options. Both phones are the same thickness, i.e. 8.16 mm.
