Remedy Entertainment has announced the system requirements for the PC version of Alan Wake 2. To run the game at 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, with ray tracing and path tracing enabled, a GeForce RTX 4080 is required. DLSS 3 or FSR2 is also recommended for each setup.
The remedy lists the system requirements Share on X. All setups require at least 16GB of RAM and 90GB of SSD storage. Also, AI upscaling technology must be used for each version to achieve the mentioned performance. Minimum requirements to achieve 1080p and 30 fps is a GeForce RTX 2060, Radeon RX 6600, Intel i5-7600K, or similar AMD CPU and DLSS 3 or FSR2 at the quality setting.
To run the game at 1080p at 60 fps without ray tracing, an RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6700 XT with 8GB of VRAM and an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel equivalent CPU is recommended. If users want ray tracing, the same quality requires an RTX 4070, 12GB of VRAM, and an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel equivalent.
Alan Wake II will be released on October 27 for Windows, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5. On Windows, the game will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store. The game, a third-person survival horror shooter, was released thirteen years after the original.
